How do I backup my diary entries?
Go to settings inside the app and tap "Export Database". This will write all your cards, records, and mood details into a standard, readable JSON file. You can save this file on your computer, cloud drive, or email it to yourself.
How do I restore my diary entries on a new phone?
On your new device, go to settings in tomoe and tap "Import Database". Select your previously exported JSON backup file, and your entire diary history will restore instantly.
Does my data sync automatically to the cloud?
No. tomoe is offline by design to protect your absolute privacy. We do not have servers, databases, or cloud storage syncing. Your records reside entirely on your device.
What happens if I forget my passcode or lose Face ID access?
Verifications are handled locally by your device's secure operating system. If you lose access, verification defaults to your device's master lock credentials. We cannot recover passcodes or access your database.
